What data we collect

We only process personal data that you choose to give us through the contact form on this website:

• your name;
• your email address;
• the subject and content of your message, including any other details you decide to share in it (for example a phone number).

We do not use analytics, advertising or social-media tracking, we do not build user profiles and we never buy data from third parties. If you do not fill in the contact form, we do not collect personal data about you.

Like any website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data (such as your IP address and the time of your visit) in server logs, solely to keep the website secure and running. These logs are kept for a short period only and are not used to identify you.

If you sign up for property updates, we also process your phone number (optional) and country, together with the language you used — see “Property updates by e-mail” below.

Why we use it

We use the details from the contact form solely to answer your question, to prepare the property proposal or consultation you asked for, and to keep in touch with you about that request. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering the messages we receive (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We will not send you newsletters or marketing messages unless you explicitly ask us to.

Property updates by e-mail

If you ask us to keep you updated, we store your name, email address, phone number (if given), country and language, and the date you signed up and confirmed. We first send you an email with a confirmation link; only after you click it do you receive updates. We then email you when new properties are added to our portfolio, and may call you about properties that match what you are looking for.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email or by emailing us; we then stop immediately. We keep your details for as long as you are subscribed and delete them when you ask us to. If you never confirm your subscription, we delete your details within three months.

We do not share your data

We do not sell, rent or share your personal data with third parties. Your data is only processed by the service providers that technically run this website and our mailbox on our behalf: our hosting and email provider, and MarkiTeq, which built and manages this website. They act strictly on our instructions under a data processing agreement and may not use your data for any purpose of their own.

We only disclose data to public authorities where the law obliges us to.

Your data stays in the EU

All personal data is stored and processed within the European Union. The website and our mailbox are hosted on servers in the EU, and fonts and other resources are served from our own server. No personal data is transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area.

How long we keep it

We keep your messages for as long as needed to handle your request and any follow-up, and delete them no later than two years after our last contact. If your enquiry leads to a purchase or rental agreement, we keep the related data for as long as Spanish or Belgian law (for example tax and accounting rules) requires.

Cookies

This website uses a single cookie: a technically necessary session cookie that remembers your chosen language while you browse. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser. We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. Where processing is based on your consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, simply email us at the address above. We will respond within one month.

If you believe we are not handling your data correctly, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD) or with the supervisory authority in your country of residence, such as the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

Security

This website is served over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access to your messages is limited to the Hispabelgo-Homes team. We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

We may update this privacy notice when our website or the law changes. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
